| Note | Scene Stealer was delivered with the Action Replay Graphics Disk and is able to save graphic screens and charsets to disk as executable program. The supplied demo maker is able to load the stolen scenes and charsets and save it with additional modifications. The Scene Stealer extension could be fixed to work with Replay based extensions but requires some more attention for this to work out as it not only utilises some obscure table for managing the IO switching but also directly jumps into the cartridge ROM for a filename requester ($8057, $9018 - yieks). No nice programming here and it seems that Scene Stealer might have been assembled in parallel to the Action Replay ROM to share variables and tables. Details on the file sstl are unknown. Looks like a strafe file without much functionality. |
